The Rolex Women’s Player of the Year Award was introduced in 1966 and allows players to be awarded points at each official LPGA Tour event based on their top-10 finish, with double points on offer at the five women’s majors. “Winning the Rolex Player of the Year means so much to me,” Korda said. “This season has had its highs and challenges, and I’m just really grateful for the people around me who have helped me get here. “It was a team effort, and I’m proud to share this moment with them.”

Korda opened her eighth LPGA Tour season with a tie for 16th place at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, then won each of her next five starts to tie the record for most consecutive LPGA Tour titles.
